Dallas in the city of Omaha

So this past week has been the busy one, but also a good one to sum it all up. I went out Sunday night after work to a City and Colour concert. At the last minute my friends told me that they couldn't go, but I was determined. There was no way I was going to miss Dallas. So I asked my friend from my sustainability class to come a long and he agreed. I'm so happy that I was able to experience it. Dallas Green's voice sounds better live. If you haven't seen one of his shows, then I urge you to! Other than that show, my week has consisted of keeping up with my homework.

As the weather gets colder, I'm wanting more warm scarves and sweaters. Today was a harsh reminder of how awful our winters can be here in Iowa. Part of me wants to just vacation in the west coast for the winter, but another part of me is thankful that I get to experience all four seasons, even though they can be pretty annoying at times. I'm thankful that I get to wear warm clothing. Fall/winter clothing is definitely my favorite to strut in. Boots would be my favorite article of clothing during this time of year. Working with shoes can be good and bad. I have about four shoes on hold for myself already and this is my fourth week working in the shoe department. It's hard for me to contain myself. I plan to save them for Black Friday though, so I think it's a pretty good deal.

Speaking of being thankful, thanksgiving is next week! It's crazy to think that November is coming to an end. Anyways, I am very thankful to be where I am right now. A lot has changed with in the last two months and I feel that I'm finally comfortable with where I am in my life. I feel more independent and busy. It's really helping me take my mind off of the things that really bring me down. I'm thankful to be surrounded by the people I love on a daily basis and I'm thankful that my family is always there for me. They make my world go round.

What are you thankful for?
