Weekly Wars & Victories: #12
001. Gone are the days where I lay in bed without a worry to spare. Sometimes I catch myself daydreaming about the days where I woke up in bed at home, during the summer, with an empty calendar hanging over my head. No school, no work. All that was on the schedule for the day was just simply... nothing. But before I get too nostalgic here, I would like to admit that I do enjoy keeping busy. I just really appreciate the days I have off. Such as this one!
002. A lot has been going on in the world of vintage retail. I've recently been presented with an opportunity to design the logo for my bosses next shop he'll be opening in the city. No pressure, right? It's going to be a hardy, masculine, vintage menswear shop. Putting together a mood board for this project will stimulate my inner tomboy? or just my love for vintage advertisements and hand written typography. We're entering the nerd zone, guys.
003. Things are also speeding up in the fashion world. Omaha Fashion Week will be here in about a week. Whaaat! I'm not sure if I'm ready. Physically, mentally, psychologically... well, we'll see. Everything about it will be different this year. I don't know what to expect. The magazine will also be different as well. I'm not working on the interior of it this season, but I am going to make a few designs for the cover. I won't give away too much, but I will definitely show you the end result.
004. I got my class figured out for the Fall semester! It was a huge dilemma for a while, but I finally got it all sorted out after millions of phone calls back and forth. Just one more class until I receive my Associates Degree and then it's off to another school. That is still up in the air. Will I ever decide? Time will tell.
I hope you all have a swell weekend!
