JHaus Denim
JHaus, a brand by JLynn Hausmann, represents quality denim at it's finest. It was about a year ago when I first spotted JHaus on the runway during Omaha Fashion Week. The show was great and the energy was powerful. A fashion show, driven by art and design, suddenly felt more familiar to me - nostalgia at its best. Open countryside vibes and feelings of home were very real. It was a sight to see denim, such a rough and tough material, transformed into an elegant couture gown. It was backless, form fitting, and garnished with chicken wire. It was something I had never experienced on the runway and hope to soon again.
"The denim bolts and burlap; transformed into your favorite pair of skinny, boot leg, and straight jeans. Stunning couture dresses easily worn with stilettos or boots. Our designs represent strength and durability, the real American roots."
Jen incorporates denim into her deigns in a very unique way, turning something rugged into something beautiful and essential. She stays true to her Midwestern roots, working with hardware and tough materials to create wearable statements. If you're near west coast or midwest you may be in luck! You can buy her designs in many of the local boutiques. You can also purchase through Amazon or Zappos! Here are a few of my picks.

I was presented with this opportunity to try some of Jen's denim myself through a coworker of mine from Omaha Fashion Week, Kylie Bollwitt. She has working very closely with JHaus throughout the year and has styled many of her shows. She's a true fashion mavin! Check her out!
