The Daisy

There's something different about my right shoulder. It's now a home to something that will be with me for the rest of my life. As spontaneous as my decision was to get this tattoo, I'm very pleased with it. This was my very first tattoo experience and it was smooth sailing all the way through. I have my friend to thank for this. We carried conversations about cats and birthday plans and at some point in time I just completely zoned out. Perhaps there was something peaceful about getting a tattoo? I don't know, but the discomfort didn't get to me as much halfway through. The whole process took about an hour, but it felt like nothing to me.

I chose a daisy for simple reasons. I've loved them ever since I was little because they surrounded the house I grew up in. They instantly bring a smile to my face, light up any room, and make me feel completely nostalgic. And honestly, if I were a flower, I'm pretty sure I would be a daisy. It's a beautiful milestone and a simple reminder that there are better things to come. Life is always blooming!

Do you have any tattoos? If so, what made you get one?

  1. I don't have any tattoos, and there are a lot I don't like but your daisy is lovely darling - the detail is gorgeous.

  4. It's a beautiful tattoo! I want to get a small semi colon. It means "You could've stopped, but you kept going" (:
