From March, with love
001. March is a month I always look forward to, no matter the weather. We are just a few steps closer to sunnier days and my birthday falls on St. Patricks day, which is always a party. I have so many reasons to celebrate last month and one of those is the reunion of some very dear friends of mine. I also have made many new friends and I've never felt more graced.
002. When the weather is nice, I'm out on the road more often. When you have friends in far places, it gives you a good excuse to go on mini road trips. It's a little slice of heaven being able to travel, even though I'm not going very far at all. I was able to take a trip to Kansas City with a great friend of mine to explore some art museums and eat delicious food! It makes me look forward for more trips like those during late spring and summer. I also had a lot of time to catch up with old friends over coffee, chinese food, and at the cinema. The friends that walk back into your life and keep in touch are the ones that stay.
003. My birthday was a success, as it is every year. I give all of the credit to my friends that make it so! I had a whole weekend of celebrations, along with a very spontaneous commitment on my right shoulder blade. Although that weekend is a bit of a haze, I know that at some point I was wearing a green bowler hat and clover shaped sunnies. My mom made me one of my favorites, sunshine cake. My birthday literally tasted like sunshine.
004. I finally have a new camera! It is the Canon Rebel T3i. It also shoots video so I've been messing around with that a bit. I bought this camera specifically for this blog. I hope to do more lookbooks and possibly some vlogs in the near future. Lately I've been interested in handwritten typography as well as illustration. I want to get more in touch with my non-digital side of creativity. I'm getting back into using gel pens again too. Did you ever use those scented ones when you were younger? They were totally rad.
And so here I am, in April. Next week I'm going to see Tycho and I already have butterflies. I hope you all had a great March and I hope April treats you even better.
